More Baby Photographs

Here are a few more photos of Garyn. Everything is going well, Garyn is eating great, pooping regularly and crying if either of the before mentioned are not taken care of. I guess that means everything is normal.

We have a Baby

Garyn Mitchell Richardson was born on February 12th. He was 21 1/4 inches long and weighed 8.3 lbs. As you can see everyone is very excited to have him here. Mary Kate and Andrew want to hold him all the time. Dana is doing well and Mitchell can't quit taking pictures.

Staff Attends Seminar

Mitchell, Courtney and Jen recently attend the "Bellies and Babies" seminar in Atlanta, Ga. The speaker was Sandy Puc' of Expressions Photography from Littleton, CO. Sandy is known for her outstanding maternity and childrens photography. Everyone came back with lots of new ideas to implement at Mitchell's Photography.

2008 A Year of Change

Well, finally Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. I know it's late, but I hope everyone had a wonderful time with your families during the holiday season.
You might be wondering what is the change for 2008. Well for those who don't know yet, Dana and I are expecting our third child February 20th. Mary Kate now 11 and Andrew 8 are so excited and can't wait for the arrival of new brother. Everything has gone well so far. I will post photos here as soon as he arrives.

The second exciting change for 2008 is we are getting a new studio. Yes after 11 years in our current location we have decided to make a change. Our new studio will be located at 1325 Miller Road near Greenville Gymnastics and Frankies Fun Park. We hope to be in by March 4. Keep checking in on the blog, I will be posting some Grand Opening Specials. Below is some of the construction taking place. It doesn't look like much yet but it's going fast.

Washington DC Field Trip

Well a few weeks ago I survived a 4 field day trip to Washington DC with 210 5th graders and parents. My daughter Mary Kate and I had a great time and saw lots of cool places Did I also say it was a tiring trip? We were up each morning at 5:30am to eat breakfast and off to the bus by 7:00am, toured all day and would get back to the room at 9:00pm. Busy day but well worth it for all the sites we got to see. Hats off to Steve of Blue Ridge Tours for planning such a great trip.

Santa is Here

Well, believe it not it's that time of year again. Santa has arrived at Mitchell's Photography and we are in full swing taking Christmas wishes for Santa to send back to his elves. We are currently photographing the Bedroom sessions. If you would still like to get in for a session there are few left.

Photographer of the Year

Congratulations to Mitchell. He recently attended the Professional Photographers of South Carolina convention in Myrtle Beach and was awarded Photographer of the Year 2007-2008. This is the third time Mitchell has won this award. He placed first in Children, Groups and Photojournalism category. Here are some the awards Mitchell won: First Place in the Children, Groups and Photojournalism category; two Fuji Masterpiece awards and one Kodak Gallery Award; his print titled "Flyin' High" won Best of Show.



Also being awarded was Mark Howard, Mitchell's associate photographer. Mark placed first in the Pets and Product categorys. He was also award the Fuji Masterpiece Award and several distinguished awards. Mark placed 3rd overall in the State for the the Photographer of the Year.
